PALIKIR, POHNPEI — FSM Senator Andy P. Choor met with members of the Yap Student Organization at the College of Micronesia–FSM National Campus on September 25 following the adjournment of the Fifth Regular Session of the 24th FSM Congress, according to a release from the Yap State Government.
Choor, chairman of the FSM Congress Committee on Judiciary and Governmental Operations, was joined by staff of the Yap Congressional Delegation.
According to the release, Choor provided students with updates on matters addressed during the recently concluded congressional session.
Students raised questions and concerns about issues affecting Yap State, higher education, and the experiences of Yapese students attending college away from home.
The release did not provide details about the specific issues raised by the students or Choor’s responses to their questions.
The Yap Student Organization said the meeting provided its members an opportunity to communicate directly with their elected representatives and discuss government priorities and concerns affecting students.
