Suva, Fiji — His Excellency Ambassador Carson K. Sigrah receives a courtesy visit from Ms. Ann Albert of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) and Ms. Imade Tellei of the Republic of Palau, Fellows of the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS), at the margins of the Regional Conference of Youth (RCOY Oceania 2026) in Suva, Fiji.

The two fellows, representing the Micronesian region, will be participating in the August 18–20, 2026 regional youth conference, convened under the theme, “Our Islands to the World: Oceania’s Youth Charting the Course to COP31.”

The conference provides an important platform for young people from across Oceania and the wider Pacific to exchange perspectives, strengthen regional cooperation, and develop priorities that Pacific youth will carry forward to the 55th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting, to be hosted by the Republic of Palau.

Ambassador Sigrah welcomed the fellows and expressed his support for their engagement and contribution to advancing Pacific priorities on the international stage. He also conveyed his encouragement as they continue their important work and engagement in Fiji.

The courtesy visit underscored the importance of meaningful youth participation in regional and international processes, particularly on issues affecting Small Island Developing States and the future of the Pacific.

Ambassador Sigrah wished Ms. Albert and Ms. Tellei continued success as they conclude their engagements in Fiji and carry forward the voices and priorities of Pacific youth.
